Challenge Wanaka Half 2021 entry fees (NZ$)

NZ competitors can save paying an extra 2% on your entry fee by paying by internet banking rather than credit card. Select this option when you reach the checkout and then all you need to do is remember to transfer the funds to secure your spot!

Individual

    • $295 Early Bird until midnight 28 February 2020 or until 50 entries received (whichever occurs first)
    • $320 until midnight 31 July 2020
    • $355 until midnight 31 October 2020
    • $370 until midnight 31 December 2020
    • $385 until midnight 22 January 2021

 

Team

    • $395 Early Bird until midnight 28 February 2020 or until 50 entries received (whichever occurs first)

Cancellation Policy

Refund of 75% of the entry fee paid until 30 September 2020. Refund of 50% of the entry fee paid until 31 December 2020.  Absolutely no refund after 31 December 2020. All entries are non-transferable to other athletes or other years. Credit card fees are non refundable.

Changes between disciplines (i.e. Half to Aquabike)

  • Up until 31 December 2020 permitted at no cost (no refunds if changing to an event that has a lower entry fee).
  • 1 January 2021 – 18 February 2021 any changes will incur a $30 fee. Personalised bibs no longer available.

Team member changes

  • Up until 31 December 2020 permitted at no cost.
  • 1 January 2021 – 18 February 2021 any changes will incur a $30 fee.

Please note that all transfer/refund enquiries relating to our change in course have now been completed as at 17 September 2020.  Our cancellation policy as above applies. 

 

Cancellation Policy – COVID-19

Competitors who have travelled from overseas specifically with the intention of competing in the 2021 event, but for good reason are not able to compete in the event, may transfer their entry fee to one of the 2022 or 2023 events, or on request may receive a refund of 75% of their paid entry fee.  The above refunds or transfers shall apply until 1 February 2021.  After 1 February 2021, no refund or transfer will be made.

If New Zealand is in COVID level 2, 3 or 4 between 30 September 2020 and 30 January 2021, and the Challenge Wanaka Sports Trust cannot run an event in February 2021, competitors will be offered a transfer of their entry to one of the 2022 or 2023 events, or have a 75% refund.

If, after 1 February 2021, New Zealand enters COVID level 2, 3 or 4, and this is affecting or impacting the Wanaka region, the 2021 event will be cancelled.   As the event will have incurred significant costs, the Trust will be unable to offer any refund or transfer. The Challenge Wanaka Sports Trust will however endeavour to offer to cancelled 2021 competitors a discounted entry to the 2022 event, financed from any cash reserves left from 2021.
