Amy brings with her over two decades of marketing and events management experience. With a collaborative focus, Amy leads the team in building & maintaining our critical sponsorship, patron, stakeholder and funder relationships. Working with our supporters to develop fun and interactive activations to build on the success of our event.
Armed with a methodical mind and creative approach Amy aligns our sponsor’s marketing, business and community goals with the Challenge Wanaka marketing program and festival delivery.
Outside of Challenge life, I’ll usually be having fun with my family, either in the garden, out on our bike, in the mountains or on the lake. I am passionate about Challenge Wanaka and our wider whanau, if you would like to be part of the festival in any form please get in touch. I love to chat.

Sophie has a passion for sports, media and triathlon. As a past professional sportswoman herself, she loves getting people involved in sport from beginners giving it a go, through to elite athletes.
She has over 20 years experience in international sports events including the Winter Games NZ, Volvo Ocean Race, America’s Cup, European Golf Tour, The Ashes and NZ Cricket series and more recently Challenge Wanaka, Triathlon NZ and Motatapu race.
Sophie has competed in Challenge Wanaka Half as an individual and been part of the delivery team for three years and loves being part of their special event which she is passionate about. She manages Media, Marketing, Broadcast and the Communications of Challenge Wanaka and you will often see her chasing down pro athletes to capture the action as fast as she can!

The Challenge Wanaka Sports Trust is a charitable trust whose primary objective is to arrange and provide events and activities having a sporting, recreational and/or social value for the benefit of the citizens of both the Southern Lakes area and the citizens of New Zealand in general.
The Challenge Wanaka Sports Trust is run by a board of trustees. The current board members:
