16 Feb IHCW COVID UPDATE 16 FEB 2PM
Integrity Homes Challenge Wanaka Festival COVID Update 16 February 2021 2pm
The Integrity Homes Challenge Wanaka team is monitoring the Alert Level situation and is continuing to prepare the event site in Glendhu Bay, Wānaka.
After the 1pm announcement today that a decision on the Nationwide Alert Levels will be made tomorrow at 1pm, we will carry on proceeding ahead in the hope that the Alert Level in the Southern Lakes Region will be moved down to Level 1 on Wednesday night and we will be able to continue with the Festival as planned.
If the Alert Level remains at Level 2 then the event will unfortunately have to be cancelled due to the Government Guidelines and Level 2 protocols.
An announcement from the Integrity Homes Challenge Wanaka team will be made as soon as possible after 1pm tomorrow afternoon, following consultation with the Board of Trustees and the Management team.
This will be then communicated via an email to athletes, parents, website update, Challenge Wanaka app SMS push and Social media channels.
We understand that the uncertainty around the event status is causing issues and complications for people and the team are working hard to keep everyone informed and make quick and responsible decisions. We thank everyone for their continued support and the positive messages we have received from our community, sponsors and stakeholders.
