Swim the Course

An opportunity to swim either one or two laps of the course with full safety and timing.
7.00am, Thursday 18 February. Free for entered athletes or $5 for everyone else.

Puzzling World Junior Challenge Wanaka

Join hundreds of budding triathletes, aged from 6 to 12 in the Puzzling World Junior Challenge Wanaka. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never raced triathlon before or if you want to race as an individual or as part of a team with your friends and family. Swim (splash for the littlies) through Lake Wanaka then bike along Ardmore Street and run around Pembroke Park. The course for 2016 will once again take you down the Challenge Wanaka finish chute like a real champion!

There are medals, T-shirts and prizes from Puzzling World for everyone, plus yummy chocolate milk from CalciYum, spot prizes from Kip McGrath, Derek Direen ltd and Basecamp AND it’s heaps of fun!

Pasta Party

Race Central Marquee
6.30-8.30pm, Thursday 18 February.

The Pasta Party is a great place to meet old friends and make new ones. After a warm welcome from the Challenge Wanaka team, last year’s winners will say a few words followed by a few important race announcements. All athletes have free entry into this great carbo-loading experience. Friends and family are very welcome and tickets are available for $25 including plenty of carbohydrates and non-alcoholic drinks.

Awards Brunch

Race Central Marquee
Awards Brunch – Sunday 21 February at 10.30am.

Each athlete has a ticket included in their entry fee and you can buy extra tickets for family and friends for just $25. It features a delicious breakfast, including bacon, pastries and plenty of coffee!

Due to space limitations, tickets are strictly on a first come, first served basis for friends and family and may be limited on the day. We recommend you order them in advance, either on your entry form, at registration or by contacting the Challenge Wanaka office on event@challenge-wanaka.com
