Team Entry
One of the great things about Challenge Wanaka is the team category. Relay teams of three can enter the event and compete over the same course – starting two hours behind the individuals. So get together with a couple of friends and start training for one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
Entering the Challenge Wanaka as a team is also a great team-building exercise for staff. If your business is looking for an effective vehicle to improve staff cohesion, morale and self-respect, please don't hesitate to call us to discuss your options further.
Swimmers will start the teams event at 9.00am. On exit at Pembroke Park the swimmer must run through transition and tag the cyclist who will be waiting in the 'Team Cyclists Tag Zone'.
After the tag (or transfer of the timing chip) the cyclist may then proceed to their bike, unrack it and head out of T1 observing the same instructions and rules as the individual competitors. The same drafting rules also apply.
On completing the cycle leg, team competitors will re-enter T2, hand their bike to the marshal, and run to the 'Team Runners Tag Zone' where the tag is made and the runner starts their run. Please note that team cyclists may not take their bikes from transition at this point. For security reasons, all bikes will be racked and may only be collected after T2 is closed.
Cancellation Policy
Refund of 75% until 31 August 2010. Refund of 50% until 30 November 2010. Absolutely no refund after 30 November 2010. All entries are non-transferrable to other athletes or other years. No changes between disciplines are permitted after 30 November 2010.
